Timber, OR

I'm still alive, but maybe just barely.

I've been pouring myself into my work since the start of the new year. With my recent promotion came some unforeseen responsibilities, so I've had to adapt a bit. Typically, this means a few more hours a week. It's completely exhausting, but it's good -- I'm operating with confidence, ability, agility and precision like I've never experienced. I'm heading up a project that could significantly change the way we do things at my job. It is hands-down the largest software project I've ever been a part of, so it's only somewhat stressful, since my name is written all over the damn thing.

CABO!

Longer hours at work means fewer sideprojects, which is a bum deal. There's so much I want to do. I'm praying that I can get this thing out the door before the end of summer -- I don't feel like this pace is sustainable.

In my what little downtime I have, I've been spending nearly every spare second with my lovely fiance. She's been working hard as well, kicking some serious ass. I'm really proud of her. Since our professional life have been so hectice, there hasn't been much planning on the wedding front. We don't even have a date planned yet. Low-stress personal life 2010.

Thwomp?

I have found a little bit of time to savor Cave Story on the Wii. It's been worth the lengthy wait. Kim and I have also taken some time to go exploring, since the days are getting nicer.

Truthfully, that's all I have for the time being. Hopefully I'll have more interesting news to report next time. I love you all.
